The highlight of Arsenal's first full day in Hanoi was the squad's sightseeing trip to the One Pillar Pagoda in the city centre.

The players were keen to take the opportunity to see the historic Buddhist temple, regarded as one of Vietnam's most iconic sites, and they got much more than they bargained for.

The tourists' coach was pursued throughout by hundreds of excited Vietnamese fans - many on motorbikes that weaved in and out of traffic in an attempt to keep pace with the squad.

One fan in particular stood out, earning the nickname 'Running Man' after chasing the team for some five kilometres and maintaining his pursuit despite bumping into trees and a lamp post.

He eventually clambered aboard a motorbike, reached the coach door and boarded the vehicle to a standing ovation from the enthralled Arsenal players.

Here's our picture gallery from an entertaining trip into Hanoi, including three shots of the 'Running Man'.
