Everyone at Arsenal Football Club was deeply saddened by the news that a hugely valued member of staff, Pat Boyle passed away aged 69 last week.

Pat was a loyal servant to the Club for many years, where he helped young and new players settle into their new surroundings at Arsenal, together with fulfilling the huge amount of driving duties associated with successfully running a football club.

Pat is survived by his wife Linda, children Darren and Lisa and grandsons Callum, Mitchell and Joe.

Arsenal players have also paid tribute to Pat, who was a familiar and friendly face at the Training Ground.

Cesc Fabregas said: “RIP to my true friend and Arsenal legend Pat Boyle. He was one of the first people who took care of me at the Club. He will be greatly missed. Pat was a fantastic servant to Arsenal. He was always a friendly face at the Training Ground and was so helpful to me, and many others, since the moment I joined the Club. I dedicated my goal against Huddersfield on Sunday to him, and my thoughts are with all of his friends and family.”

Robin van Persie added: “A true Arsenal man, Pat Boyle has passed away. We are really going to miss him. He helped my wife and me a lot when we arrived.”

“RIP Pat Boyle, said Samir Nasri. “A really good man who helped me a lot when I first came. You will always be remembered.”

Arsenal Football Club send our heartfelt condolences to Pat’s family and friends at this very difficult time. Pat will be sadly missed by all.
