Khanh Hoa 4-2 Hoang Anh Gia Lai
Sunday, January 31

Hoang Anh Gia Lai began their V-League season with disappointment as they suffered a 4-2 defeat at Khanh Hoa on Sunday. Arsenal's Vietnamese partners finished last season in sixth place. They ended 13 points short of the title in Vietnam's top flight, though they did manage to bag seven away goals on the final day of the season in late August. Last term Hoang Anh Gia Lai conceded 45 goals during the season. Only bottom club Thanh Hoa shipped more; 68 goals went past their keeper in 26 fixtures.
