The 2012 Paralympic Games have now drawn to a close and Arsenal.com has been tracking the progress of several Gooners competing in London.

Over the course of last season, we ran a series of features in the Official Matchday Programme with some Arsenal-supporting Paralympic hopefuls.

Yesterday saw one Gooner in action, as David Weir won his fourth gold medal of the games.

David Weir stormed to his fourth gold of the games with victory in the T54 wheelchair marathon.

The Londoner pulled clear of rivals Marcel Hug and Kurt Fearnley with just 500m of the 26.2 mile circuit remaining to win in a time of 1hr 30m 20sec.

Weir's victory followed earlier successes in the 5,000m, 1,500m and 800m. He finished as Great Britain's most successful Paralympian of London 2012, along with cyclist Sarah Storey, who also won four golds.
