The 2012 Paralympic Games are underway and Arsenal.com will be tracking the progress of several Gooners competing in London.

Over the course of last season, we ran a series of features in the Official Matchday Programme with some Arsenal-supporting Paralympic hopefuls.

Today sees four featured of them in action.

David Weir is back after Sunday night's gold-medal heroics, this time in the men's 1500m T54 heats where he defends his Beijing crown.

Abdi Jama competes for Great Britain's men's basketball team against Japan at the Basketball Arena, before Marc McCarroll partners Gordon Reid in the wheelchair tennis doubles.

Elsewhere, Rob Richardson returns to action with Team GB's sitting volleyball team against Germany.

David Weir stormed to his first gold medal of the London 2012 Paralympic Games with victory in the men's 5000m T54 at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

There was no final joy for table tennis star Will Bayley, however, who was forced to settle for silver after a 3-1 defeat to Germany's Jochen Wollmert.

Great Britain men's basketball team secured their second victory in succession with an 87-58 win over Poland, while Marc McCarroll celebrated victory against Canada in the men's wheelchair tennis doubles alongside Gordon Reid.
