Mesut Ozil says Arsenal can have a successful season if they "put their foot down" in the next few months.

The Germany international has made an impressive start to his time in England and could be a key figure as Arsène Wenger's side chase honours at home and in Europe.

Ozil has won over his Arsenal team-mates with his selfless approach as well as his class, and the 25-year-old feels at ease in his new surroundings.

It's my dream to be here and I'm just very, very happy

"I am very satisfied," he said. "I know I can play better, I know what potential I have, but the most important thing is that everything works well at the moment with the team.

"I don't really feel any pressure about it, I just have fun with it all, I enjoy what I'm doing. It's my dream to be here and I'm just very, very happy. I appreciate being here and it's great to be in this great team.

"The team accepted me very well. I knew before I came to Arsenal what kind of players were here. And of course in training you can see how many good players are here. We can achieve great things if we really put our foot down and try hard."

Fulham provide the next obstacle in Arsenal's quest for the Premier League title and Ozil won't look beyond Saturday's challenge.

"We just take it game by game and now we've got Fulham at home," he said. "There is still a long way to go, we want to do our best. We know we have the potential to do really well, and first of all we want the three points against Fulham."
