Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is backing Arsenal to close the gap on Chelsea and book their place in next season's Champions League.

The Blues are now five points clear of Arsène Wenger's side in fourth place after picking up a draw at the weekend while Manchester United won at Emirates Stadium.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made an impressive full Premier League debut in that game and he is still confident Arsenal can secure a top-four finish.

"It is crucial," he said. "We know we have to win every game and approach every match in the same way.

"We always look to win, we know the task that lies ahead of us but we have belief within the dressing room. The boss believes, the boys believe and we know we have the quality that it takes.

"We are just going to keep working hard and try to correct our mistakes."
