O2/Arsenal Player of the Month

O2/Arsenal Player of the Month - VOTE NOW

November was a real 'Jekyll and Hyde' month for Arsène Wenger's side but it finished with Arsenal well-placed in the Champions League and Carling Cup, and just about in touch in the title race.

Gael Clichy opened his account for the Club in a losing cause at Stoke before the Gunners drew a blank against Fenerbahce. Samir Nasri's double sealed a rousing win over Manchester United and Jay Simpson grabbed a Carling Cup brace against Wigan, but Arsenal's Premier League hopes were dented by successive defeats against Aston Villa and Manchester City. Wenger's men got back on track when Nicklas Bendtner's late strike secured a place in the Champions League knockout stages, before Robin van Persie rekindled their title prospects with two vital goals at Chelsea.

There are plenty of contenders for our Player of the Month award. Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy were as consistent as ever at full-back and Johan Djourou staked his claim for a regular first-team place. Cesc Fabregas celebrated his appointment as captain with some influential displays in midfield while Nasri excelled against Manchester United. Van Persie found his form at Stamford Bridge while Simpson, Carlos Vela and Jack Wilshere impressed in the Carling Cup.
