There has been no movement on Ashley Cole's proposed transfer away from Arsenal but Arsène Wenger has admitted he is making plans for life without him.
The England left back is wanted by Chelsea and the Frenchman is interested in taking William Gallas the other way. It is a matter of daily news stories, however it seems there is little to report on either deal.
"There is no progress anywhere, not on one way out or one way in," said Wenger at Friday's pre-match press conference. "This situation has not been sorted out.
"I have opened the door so I have to plan for life without him. But we will see what happens and we will do what is best for the Club."
