National Stadium, Bukit Jalil - Pictures

The National Stadium has a capacity of more than 87,000 and is located to the south of Kuala Lumpur, as part of the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil.

Built to host the 1998 Commonwealth Games, construction took exactly a year and was completed three months ahead of schedule. It is considered by many to be the best stadium in Malaysia.

It is the 24th largest sports stadium in the world and the 10th biggest football arena, and is the home of the Malaysian national football team. The venue hosts a variety of different events, including pre-season tour matches involving Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.

In 2011, Arsenal played a tour match against a Malaysia XI at the venue, with goals from Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Carlos Vela and Tomas Rosicky sealing a 4-0 victory.

Arsenal's tour to Malaysia this summer is being promoted by ProEvents.
