Samir Nasri expects Aaron Ramsey to receive a rapturous reception if he makes his Arsenal comeback on Saturday.

The Wales midfielder has not kicked a ball for the first team since suffering a double leg fracture at Stoke City last February. But, having completed a successful loan spell with Cardiff, Ramsey is back at Emirates Stadium and back in the squad to face Sunderland.

“It's a good thing for Aaron to be back,” Nasri told

“I'm really happy for him and I think the loan at Cardiff helped him a lot, because when you come back from a long injury like he has you just need to play.

“At Cardiff he got a number of games and it worked out well. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the fans welcome him when he first returns to the pitch, because he deserves a good, warm reception from everybody.”

A full interview with Samir will appear in Saturday’s Official Matchday Programme. Get your copy from the usual Club outlets in and around the stadium or subscribe by calling 08700 20 20 20.
