Samir Nasri has been rewarded for a spectacular start to his Arsenal career with a resounding vote of confidence from the Gunners fans. They have voted him the O2/Arsenal.com Player of the Month for August.
The French international took just three minutes of his Premier League debut to get off the mark, slotting home the winner against West Bromwich Albion at Emirates Stadium. And he broke the deadlock once again as FC Twente were dispatched in the Champions League qualifier.
Samir has caught the eye with his touch, vision and passing ability, making a smooth adaptation from French football to the hustle and bustle of the Premier League. The fans certainly thought so and handed Samir a landslide victory in our first poll of the campaign.
Robin van Persie came second in our August poll, a whopping 66 per cent short of Samir's share of the vote. And Gael Clichy, as consistent as ever at left back, scooped third place.

Jake Leaf from Kettering in Northamptonshire has won the chance to present Samir with his award before a home game at Emirates Stadium. Jake will also win two tickets to that match.
"Samir has shown great pace and ability and has scored two goals, one of which turned out to be very important," said Jake.
