Nacho Monreal has revealed that legendary Brazilian left back Roberto Carlos is his footballing hero.
The Spanish defender joined the Club from Malaga in January, and has impressed in his two appearances in the Premier League so far.
The 26-year-old says he hopes to emulate former Real Madrid full back Carlos and also expressed his admiration for Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
"From a young age I was fascinated by Roberto Carlos as he is, in my opinion, the best left back of all time," Monreal told Arsenal Player.
"The best player [in the world] is Messi - he makes everything look so easy. He has everything in his locker, every player looks to him. He does things that no one else can do, and he embodies football and embodies perfection."
