The January transfer window saw two more Arsenal starlets go out on loan. Jay Simpson moved to West Brom and Reserve team captain Gavin Hoyte has joined Watford, both until the end of the season.

They join the existing loanees Armand Traore, Nacer Barazite, James Dunne, Kerrea Gilbert and Abu Ogogo away with other English clubs.

Overseas, the Gunners have players in Italy, Spain and Holland. Philippe Senderos, who has made 115 appearances for the Gunners, is spending the season with Serie A giants AC Milan. Pedro Botelho is away with Spanish Segunda Division outfit UD Salamanca while Vincent van den Berg is out on his second loan spell in as many years, this time with FC Zwolle of the Eerste Divisie in Holland.

Peterborough 0-2 West Brom
Tuesday, January 13.

Jay Simpson opened his account for West Brom as the Baggies marched into the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. The on-loan striker broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, collecting a header from Roman Bednar before turning and lashing in a 20-yard drive. Simpson, playing his second game since moving to the Hawthorns, was a constant threat to the Peterborough defence before being replaced after 71 minutes. The 20-year-old could have added to his tally but, instead, Paul Robinson doubled Albion's lead when he arrived unmarked at the far post to head home Kim Do-Heon's superb right-wing cross after 37 minutes.
