Havard Nordtveit... Defender makes first appearance
Loan watch: Nordtveit makes Salamanca debut
Only three of the six Arsenal loanees pulled on the shirts of their temporary clubs this week because of the international break. There was a debut for Havard Nordtveit in Spain and Kerrea Gilbert turned in another impressive performance for Leicester….
Harvard Nordtveit, Pedro Botelho
Pedro Botelho completed 90 minutes and Havard Nordtveit came off the bench to make his debut for UD Salamanca as they drew at Sevilla FC II. Los Charros led through Steve Cohen’s goal in the 81st minute and were seconds away from their first victory of the campaign in Liga Adelante. However they were denied by a penalty deep into stoppage time. The point leaves Salamanca 14th in the table after two games.
Kerrea Gilbert
Kerrea Gilbert played the entire 90 minutes as Leicester comfortably overcame Hartlepool 3-0 in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round on Wednesday. Second-half goals from Steve Howard, Nicky Adams and Matt Fryatt were enough to see the visitors progress. International call-ups meant that Leicester’s fixture against Colchester was postponed on Saturday. The Foxes sit third in League One with a game in hand.
