There are currently five Arsenal youngsters out on loan. Jay Simpson is with Queens Park Rangers and Henri Lansbury is also playing in the Championship with Watford. Havard Nordtveit has moved to Bundesliga outfit Nurnberg for the entire season while Gavin Hoyte has linked-up with League One side Brighton. Wojciech Szczesny and Rhys Murphy are both with Brentford.

Havard Nordtveit played 90 minutes for Nurnberg as they slipped back into the relegation zone with a 4-0 away defeat to Borussia Dortmund. Keven Gobkreutz opened the scoring after eight minutes and before long Lucas Barrios had made it 2-0. Nine minutes before half time Mohamed Zidan added a third and with 62 minutes on the clock Mats Hummeis completed the scoring.

QPR 1-5 Middlesbrough

Jay Simpson was substituted in the 52nd minute as QPR lost 5-1 at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday. Dave Kitson opened the scoring on the half-hour mark before Leroy Lita doubled the lead in the 50th minute. Patrick Agyemang was quick to pull one back for the Rs but Lita made it 3-1 with half an hour to play. Further goals from Gary O'Neill and Mark Yeates made it a miserable afternoon for QPR, who are now ninth in the Championship table.

Newcastle United 2-0 Watford

Henri Lansbury played the first 85 minutes as Watford suffered a 2-0 away defeat to 10-man Newcastle United on Saturday. Peter Lovenkrands opened the scoring after 20 minutes but Kevin Nolan was dismissed for the Magpies shortly after half-time when he received a second yellow card for a foul on Lansbury. However Watford were unable to capitalise and with seven minutes remaining Fabrice Pancrate fired in a second for the hosts from the edge of the area.


Gavin Hoyte
Exeter 0-1 Brighton

Gavin Hoyte notched up another 90 minutes for Brighton as the Seagulls registered a 1-0 away win in Exeter on Saturday. Andrew Crofts got the injury-time winner for the visitors who remain in the relegation zone, one point behind 20th-place Oldham.

Tranmere Rovers 1-0 Brentford
Saturday, December 5
Wojciech Szczesny and Rhys Murphy both featured in Brentford's 1-0 away defeat to Tranmere Rovers. Szczesny played the entire game while Murphy was a 72nd-minute substitute for the Bees. The game's only goal came on the hour mark courtesy of Craig Curran. Brentford are now 18th in League One with 22 points from their 20 games to date.
