Chuks Aneke was on target as Crewe reached the final of the northern section of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy with victory over Bradford. The midfielder came on with 20 minutes to go before scoring in stoppage time.

Benik Afobe
Sunderland 0-2 Bolton Wanderers
Tuesday, January 15
Benik Afobe started as Bolton beat Sunderland in the FA Cup. The forward was replaced after 70 minutes.

Joel Campbell
Thursday, January 17
Atletico Madrid 2-0 Real Betis
Joel Campbell played 90 minutes as Real Betis were defeated in Madrid. Radamel Falcao opened the scoring before Filipe Luis doubled the advantage midway through the first half.

Marouane Chamakh
Manchester United 1-0 West Ham United
Wednesday, January 16
Marouane Chamakh was not included in the West Ham squad as they bowed out of the FA Cup with defeat at Old Trafford.

Bournemouth 0-1 Wigan Athletic
Tuesday, January 15
Ryo did not feature as Wigan advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup with victory at Bournemouth.
