Laurent Koscielny insists Arsenal will not let the pressure get to them in their final match of the season at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The Gunners need a victory at the Hawthorns to secure third place in the Premier League and automatic qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Koscielny admits that the stakes are high, but says he and his team-mates will only focus on beating Roy Hodgson’s team rather than worrying about the wider implications.

“When you go on the pitch, we want only to win the game, so [the pressure] changes nothing,” he told Arsenal Player.

“We go to West Brom to win, but you have a little pressure because you must get a win. But every team must win, like Tottenham and Newcastle and we have everything in our hands.

“If we play like a team, a unit, we will win.”

Koscielny admits that Arsenal are fortunate to still be in control of their own destiny following their 3-3 draw with Norwich last weekend, and insists they will not waste this chance.

“Yes, we have had some luck,” he said. “This season has been strange because we started with a number of defeats, so it was difficult. But after we came back we all played for our team-mates and we got back to fourth and then third.

“In football you will have some chances, but you have to be careful because things can change very quickly. For the last game, we have things in our hands and we must go to West Brom and win.”
