The England international gave Arsenal the lead after he lifted the ball over goalkeeper Geoffrey Jourdren from Olivier Giroud’s knock-down.
It was Wilshere’s first goal in 725 days, and Koscielny admitted he was delighted for the midfielder.
“I’m very happy because Jack lost more than a year with injury,” Koscielny said.
“He’s a very good player. He’s young and has a long career in front of him. He played well for the team and it’s good he scored.
“It is very important for a Club like Arsenal to qualify [for the knockout stages].”Copyright 2017 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
