Ronald Koeman has hailed Robin van Persie as the best Dutch footballer ahead of AZ Alkmaar's trip to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal’s 2008/09 Player Of The Season has already scored eight goals in 13 games since the start of the current campaign.
Van Persie has also netted 13 times in his 37 appearances for the Netherlands and AZ's Dutch coach was quick to praise the 26-year-old ahead of Wednesday's Champions League encounter.
"Robin has developed himself in a fantastic way in the last few years," said Koeman.
"At the moment he is our best Dutch player, he shows that every week for Arsenal.
"He is a very important player for them now and sometimes he is captain of the team, and that says enough."
