Shelley Kerr is aware that starting the campaign well could be the key to Women's Super League success this season.

Arsenal Ladies begin their defence of the league title against Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening.

"Everyone wants to knock you off your perch so it's important that we get off to a good start and that we try and continue the success that we've had at the Club by playing the way we can play, providing the support and the viewers with a product that's attractive," she told Arsenal Player, speaking before the start of the season. There certainly is a right balance in the team with youth and experience and that will be important for the future."
