Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott started England's goalless draw against Ukraine in Kiev. Wilshere was replaced by Ashley Young after 67 minutes before Tom Cleverley was bought on for Walcott with three minutes remaining.

Faroe Islands 0-3 Germany, September 10
Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker were among the goals in a 3-0 win over Faroe Islands that edged Germany closer to World Cup qualification. Mertesacker opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, bundling home from an Ozil corner. The Gunners' new signing scored the second from the spot with 16 minutes to go before Thomas Muller put the result beyond doubt six minutes from time.
Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud
Belarus 2-4 France, September 10
Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud all played 90 minutes as France twice came from behind to beat Belarus 4-2 and go level on points with Spain at the top of Group I. Two strikes from Franck Ribery and goals from former Gunner Samir Nasri and Paul Pogba sealed the win for Didier Deschamps' team.
Italy 2-1 Czech Republic, September 10
Tomas Rosicky was forced to come off with a suspected thigh injury after 38 minutes in Czech Republic's defeat to Italy in Turin. Libor Kozak had given the visitors a half-time lead but Giorgio Chiellini equalised six minutes after the break before Mario Balotelli scored the winner from the spot three minutes later.
Wales 0-3 Serbia, September 10
Aaron Ramsey captained Wales and played 90 minutes in their 3-0 loss at home to Serbia. The result leaves Chris Coleman's side bottom of Group A with two games remaining.

San Marino 1-5 Poland, September 10
Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski were unused substitutes in Poland's comfortable win against San Marino which kept their automatic qualification hopes alive.
