There was an array of Gunners on show across the globe during a busy international weekend. As always, Arsenal.com brings you a round-up of how our players fared
Theo Walcott
Kazakhstan 0-4 England, June 6
Theo played the first half of England’s comfortable victory in Kazakhstan on Saturday. Despite a strong start, and a disallowed goal, from the hosts, England assumed control before the break through Gareth Barry’s header and Emile Heskey’s tap-in. Wayne Rooney made it three with an acrobatic volley in the 73rd minute before Frank Lampard added the gloss from the spot five minutes later. Walcott made way for Shaun Wright-Phillips at half-time.
Bacary Sagna, Abou Diaby
France 1-0 Turkey, June 5
Bacary Sagna played 90 minutes for France in their narrow friendly win over Turkey on Friday while Abou Diaby was an unused substitute. Karem Benzema struck the decisive goal from the penalty spot in the 40th minute to secure the victory.
Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue
Guinea 1-2 Ivory Coast, June 7
Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue both played 90 minutes as Ivory Coast secured a gutsy three points in Guinea. Bakary Kone opened the scoring for the visitors on the stroke of half time but Sambegou Bangoura plundered an unlikely equaliser midway through the second half. But Romaric swooped seven minutes later to secure the Elephants’ second win in two World Cup qualifiers
Aaron Ramsey
Azerbaijan 0-1 Wales, June 6
Aaron Ramsey played 90 minutes for a youthful Wales in their hard-fought win against Azerbaijan. Wolves’ Dave Edwards struck the only goal of the game three mintues before the break to move John Toshack’s side within three points of second-place Russia. Aaron also picked up a booking in stoppage time for a late challenge.
Emmanuel Adebayor
Gabon 3-0 Togo, June 6
Emmanuel Adebayor played 90 minutes as Togo were humbled in Gabon. Bruno Ecuele started the rout in the 11th minute and Roguy Meye and Moise Brou both struck after the break to keep up the Panthers’ perfect start in Group A.
Nicklas Bendtner
Sweden 0-1 Denmark, June 6
Nicklas Bendtner played 83 minutes as Denmark moved three points clear at the top of Group One with victory over Sweden. Auxerre’s attacking midfielder Thomas Kahlenberg hit the decisive goal after 22 minutes. Sweden's Kim Kallstrom should have earned his side a point from the spot but he saw his spot-kick saved. Nicklas made way for Martin Bernburg seven minutes from time.
Lukasz Fabianski
South Africa 1-0 Poland, June 6
Lukasz Fabianski was included in the Poland squad that lost 1-0 to South Africa in their friendly clash on Saturday. The Poles will have a chance to bounce straight back when they travel to Iraq on June 9.
