Bacary Sagna
Injured trio could return for Chelsea trip
By Declan Taylor
Arsène Wenger could welcome back Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna to his squad for Sunday’s trip to Stamford Bridge.
Adebayor and Sagna (both ankle) missed the weekend defeat at Manchester City while Nasri picked up a knee injury during training on Monday morning. However Wenger rated the trio’s chances of a return at 50:50.
“Before tonight’s game we had nine injured players,” said the Frenchman at Tuesday’s post-match press conference.
“We have three players that we hope can be candidates for Sunday. That is Bacary Sagna, Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Adebayor.
“All those three are 50:50.”
