Emmanuel Adebayor... back in the squad to face Villa
Injured pair back in squad for Villa clash
By Declan Taylor
Arsène Wenger has revealed that Emmanuel Adebayor and Manuel Almunia are fit to face Aston Villa tomorrow - if they are selected.
The Togolese striker missed the last three games with an ankle injury while the Spaniard was withdrawn after 78 minutes of the Gunners’ clash with Manchester United last Saturday with concussion.
Adebayor and Almunia were rated at 70:30 and 50:50 respectively to face Villa when Wenger spoke to Arsenal TV Online yesterday. The news was even more positive at the manager’s pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Almunia is going well and he has recovered completely,” said Wenger.
“Adebayor is back in the squad and he might play. I will decide that tomorrow.”
