Thierry Henry knows there is a Champions League-sized hole in his footballing CV - and he wants to fill it.
Tonight Arsenal start their two-legged Semi-Final with the visit of Villarreal to Highbury. It is as far as the Club and its captain have ever gone. Therefore it is an opportunity not to be missed.
"Since the beginning I wanted to win this competition," said Henry. "Obviously it's a fact that this is the big thing missing on my CV and obviously on Arsenal's.
"The only guys I played with at Arsenal who had won it
before were Kanu and Mark Overmars if I am not mistaken.
"I don't know, we have thought it would be our year
[before]. This year we are in it game-by-game and not having a good
run in the League but we find ourselves in the Semi-Final. So
it's really weird. But it has been missing for me and for the
Club. So we all have that hunger."
