Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie are likely to return for Arsenal against Sheffield United at the weekend.
The pair both missed the victory at Manchester United last Sunday. The Frenchman had a foot injury while his Dutch counterpart picked up a hip complaint at Hamburg eight days ago.
"Thierry is available and we should have Robin van Persie back too," Arsène Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Thursday. "We have no big injuries from last week. The other ones like Senderos, Diaby, Lauren and Clichy are not back yet but Henry is and Van Persie should be."
The only significant doubt is Theo Walcott, who went off at half
time in the Reserve team game against Portsmouth on Wednesday
night.
"He got a little injury on his shoulder," said Wenger.
"We'll see how he is on Friday. He is progressing well but
we need to give him a little bit of time. In the first half [of the
Reserve game] Theo was very encouraging. He can be decisive for us
and I am sure he will have an important role to play for us this
season."
On Friday morning Arsenal TV Online subscribers will be able to
see the full interview with Arsène Wenger. In it he discusses:
the breakthrough victory over Man United, the importance of the
game for Emmanuel Adebayor, Sheffield United, Neil Warnock and the
possibility of another side who sit back.
