Mathieu Flamini has joined Thierry Henry on the sidelines for the North London derby on Saturday.

Arsène Wenger told Arsenal TV Online on Thursday that the captain was struggling because of a problem with his sciatic nerve. Henry had tests on Friday and, as a result, he'll miss Tottenham's first visit to Emirates Stadium. The absence of his midfield colleague was revealed in Friday's pre-game press conference.

"Yes, we have lost Thierry Henry," said Wenger. "He was fit on Wednesday at Fulham but he suffered the problem on Thursday and Friday.

"We have also lost Mathieu Flamini, he has a calf problem. Of course, Philippe Senderos is suspended and William Gallas [thigh] is not back."

Wenger is expected to rotate his side considerably, like he did against Fulham. He suggested Freddie Ljungberg would start and Julio Baptista would return to the squad. Otherwise he kept his counsel.
