Having raced out of the blocks at the start of the season, a resilient Everton side visit Emirates Stadium on Saturday just below the fourth-placed Gunners.
Andrew Johnson and Tim Cahill have hogged the headlines so far for the Goodison Park outfit but midfielder Leon Osman is one of many unsung heroes.
Recently, the youngster was backed by manager David Moyes for an England call-up and if he is to continue his impressive form at Emirates, he will have to get the better of an Arsenal midfield enhanced by the summer arrival of Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky.
The former Dortmund man appears to be adjusting quickly to Premiership life so we take a look at the statistics to see how he and Osman compare.
They appear to be having similar joy in all departments - ball distribution being a good example of this. The Everton midfielder has found a team-mate with 66.6 per cent of his passes, Rosicky 60 per cent. However, the more attack-minded Czech international has attempted 12 more passes than his counterpart.
When it comes to crossing they have both lacked success. In fact, one productive delivery from the Arsenal man is all the pair have managed between them.
Dribbling is something Rosicky is certainly happier with. Of his nine dribbles this term, eight have been successful. Osman, on the other hand is 50/50.
Both players will be looking for their first Premiership goal of the season on Saturday, although our man did hit a wonder goal against Hamburg in the Champions League. The stats do suggest the deficiency of goals hasn't been through lack of trying. Rosicky has hit the target with eight shots, miscuing with only four, and Osman has managed seven shots on target and the same number off.
Unsurprisingly, the Englishman's defensive instincts have seen him contribute more tackles for his side and of the 19 challenges he's made he's emerged with the ball 11 times. Nevertheless, the Arsenal new boy has also impressed coming out on top fives times from eight tackles.
One downside to the Everton man's defensive game is the number of free-kicks he tends to give away - 15 so far this campaign.
