Pep Guardiola has lavished praise on Arsène Wenger, his team and their stadium ahead of tonight's Champions League Quarter-Final.

The Barcelona manager has been a revelation since taking over at the Nou Camp, winning an unprecedented six trophies in his first year at the helm. That included the European crown which Wenger will try to wrestle off him this season.

The Arsenal boss hailed Guardiola when he faced the media at London Colney on Tuesday afternoon. And his opposite number returned the compliment when he held his own pre-match press conference at Emirates Stadium that evening.

"Mr Wenger is one of the best managers in the world, he is part of the history of their club," said Guardiola. "He won many trophies and changed the history of the club. All around the world people admire him and Arsenal and that's why it's an honour to play here against a team like Arsenal.

"I think he is going to do everything to convince the heads of their players to make a good performance, to try and beat us.

"I am honoured to come back to this stadium because we are going to play a phenomenal team. They have been together for many years and have a style of football that a lot of people enjoy. They have a very intensive league, the Premier League, and they have signed players who are very skilful, who can change positions.

"The Arsenal players are very dynamic and they are a daring team. We are motivated, we are talking about the best teams in Europe, so to be here is a privilege."
