Serge Gnabry has revealed his pride at playing for Arsenal and admits he is delighted with how he has developed since joining the Club.

The German midfielder moved to Emirates Stadium last summer from VfB Stuttgart's youth set-up and, after starring in the Under-18s, he has stepped up to feature for the reserves.

Arsenal’s coaching staff are pleased with the 16-year-old’s progress, and Gnabry himself says everything has gone to plan in his time at the Club thus far.

“I am enjoying it very much, it’s a big club and a big opportunity for me,” he told Arsenal.com.

“Arsenal give young players in the first team, also the reserves is a good level so I am developing myself. I hope to get a chance in the first team.

“It was a big move for me to come here but it is a dream for every kid to play for Arsenal. You can be proud of yourself if you come here. If Arsenal come in for you, I think most people would go!”

Gnabry has made a big impression at youth and reserve-team level and he is trying to do the same when he gets the opportunity to work alongside the first team.

“It is very good to train with them. I hope I leave something for the manager to see!” he said. “I keep working hard and hopefully he sees that you are giving your best.

“I am really enjoying it in the reserves - it is definitely a higher level, it is quicker and more aggressive. I just want to continue progressing this season.”
