Kieran Gibbs wants to lay the foundations for a vital win with a clean sheet against Bolton - but he insists Arsenal won't curb their attacking instincts.

Arsène Wenger's side have conceded plenty of goals on the road this season but they have been far tighter at Emirates Stadium and their left back - a Carling Cup scorer in midweek - is determined to help keep Owen Coyle's side at bay.

"We want to do that [keep it tight] without taking away anything from our attacking flair," he told Arsenal Player.

"If we sit back we could invite more pressure so it is important we don't do that and win the game. We want to improve defensively.

"Their manager is strict and he will go to all places this season looking to win. It will be an interesting game for both of us and we can hopefully look to pick back up some form. So will they."

The full interview with Kieran is now available on Arsenal Player. He talks about: scoring against Shrewsbury, turning the tables on Aaron Ramsey, the young players who impressed him and Bolton.
