Kieran Gibbs says the return of Thierry Henry has lifted the spirits of the entire Arsenal dressing room.
The Club’s all-time record goalscorer made a triumphant return for the Gunners by claiming the winner in Monday’s FA Cup Third-Round victory over Leeds.
And while Gibbs is delighted at Henry’s impact on the field, he says the striker’s influence extends far beyond that.
“When I was a young boy I used to watch him, so it was pretty amazing [to see Henry score against Leeds],” he told a webchat for Chinese fans at London Colney.
“I never got the chance to meet him before, but he has come back and shown what a true legend he is.
“He has added something to the dressing room, not just on the pitch. We know he can’t play every game but his personality has come in and lifted the whole changing room. It is a pleasure to be have him in the squad again.”
