10 FACTS ON... SC NEUSIEDL 1919
- SC Neusiedl 1919 were founded in 1919.
- In 1979 SC Neusiedl 1919 invited Rapid Vienna to play a showpiece game to celebrate their sixtieth anniversary. Rapid Vienna won 9-1.
- The 1981/82 season saw SC Neusiedl 1919 gain promotion to the Austrian top division. Despite finishing fourth in the second division they were promoted as the first division decided to increase their number of teams.
- The following season, 1982/83, SC Neusiedl 1919 narrowly avoided relegation from the top division, despite taking just six points from their opening 15 games.
- They were not so lucky the season after. Against a backdrop of financial difficulties and resignations, SC Neusiedl 1919 finished bottom of the league with just four points.
- In June 1984 SC Neusiedl 1919 decided to withdraw from the second division and voluntarily enter the regional division.
- Season 1988/89 saw SC Neusiedl 1919 reach their lowest point with relegation to '2. Klasse Nord' the fifth tier of Austrian football.
- SC Neusiedl 1919's biggest victory is 10-0 against SC Wiesen in season 2004/05.
- Last season SC Neusiedl 1919 finished seventh in the Regionalliga Ost (Austrian Regional League East), 11 points behind champions FC Waidhofen/Ybbs.
- SC Neusiedl 1919's individual coach and Under-14 Youth Head Coach is former German international striker Carsten Jancker.
