- Milan won their first League title in 1901, two years after their formation
- The club was founded as a cricket club in 1899 by British expatriates Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin - the cross of St George still appears on the club badge
- In honour of its origins, the English spelling of the city's name (Milan) has been retained, as opposed to the Italian spelling (Milano).
- The captain of Arsenal's 'Invincibles', Partick Vieira was bought from AC Milan in September 1996.
- Milan's all-time top goalscorer is the Swede, Gunnar Nordahl who scored 221 times in 268 games.
- Like Arsenal, Milan have the unique record of having gone a whole season without losing a game (1991-92 season). In total that unbeaten streak lasted 58 games
- Milan wear a star on their shirt representing the fact that they have won more than 10 'Scudetti'. A UEFA Badge of Honour also appears on their shirt during Champions League matches as they have won more than 5 European Cups.
- Only Real Madrid have won more European Cups than AC Milan
- Their stadium, shared with city rivals Inter, is officially known as Stadio Giuseppe Meazza after the former player who represented both teams. The name San Siro is taken from the district where it's located.
- The museum at the San Siro is the only one in Italy located within a stadium
