Gervinho is confident that Arsenal can build on their current form to challenge for honours next season.
The Ivorian international has featured heavily since his summer arrival from Ligue 1 champions Lille, scoring four goals during a promising debut campaign in England.
“I think that we can cope with everything really,” Gervinho told Arsenal Player. “We have had and have been through a lot of difficult times this season. Lots of people have waivered in their belief in us, have said this and that, but we have returned to form.
“We are a group of young lads, we get on really well, but we have got stronger during the tough times and showed the real Arsenal. We are going to try and finish the season well and we are happy with that.
“We are all still young, have got some good players and a good group. We can still win lots of trophies and do great things in the future because we are a good club.”
Arsenal demonstrated their credentials with the brilliant 5-2 victory over Tottenham at the end of February and Gervinho believes that performance should act as the blueprint.
“The derby game was great and everything came together and clicked,” he said. “You saw how we played as a team, the result, how the team worked together and hit some form. That is how we should be and we can use that as a yardstick.”
