Thomas Vermaelen was "proud and happy" after making his Arsenal debut on Saturday.
The former Ajax centre back was the only man to play 90 minutes at Barnet while 20 of his team-mates got 45 minutes apiece under their belts in a 2-2 draw.
Vermaelen flies out to Austria with the rest of the first-team squad today and has settled quickly into his new surroundings.
"This is my first time to play in an Arsenal shirt and I'm very proud and happy to be here," he told Arsenal TV Online.
"Everyone is very friendly and it has been a good two weeks. Now I am looking forward to the rest of pre-season."
