Free video: Fans' favourite Almunia moment

You voted Manuel Almunia third in our Player of the Season poll so we’ve dedicated this week to him on the official club website.

For the past five days the fans have been choosing their favourite Almunia moment from the 2008/09 campaign. Not surprisingly, the fans opted for Manuel's fantastic display at Old Trafford in the first leg of the Champions League Semi-Final.

The Spaniard made a string of fine saves to deny Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo in the opening half-hour of that tie. Now you can watch those saves absolutely FREE. Just click the play button above.

Loads of Arsenal fans chose that European game but plenty of other Almunia 'moments' were nominated too. Here's a selection of the fans' tributes:

Fredrik, Sweden
In my opinion, Almunia´s moment of the season was the Champions League match at Old Trafford, without Manuel we would have lost 4-0. Other great moments were his clean sheets after Christmas and also his match in Rome when he saved us many times, the save from Taddei´s shot was excellent!

Almunia's best was definitely the penalty shoot-out against Roma in the Champions League. Imagine what was going through his mind..."Our success is hinged on me tonight, YES I CAN!" Those moments don’t come often and are to be cherished a lifetime.

my favourite almunia moment was when he saved the penalty against roma he was fantastic all that game and stood up to the plate when we needed him and the celebrations after really gelled the team together it was brilliant to watch

The last minute save one-on-one with Luka Modric was a fantastic one. We'd played very well with 10 men and it'd have been harsh to lose to Spurs for the first time in 10 years. Almunia saved the game.

My favourite moment of the season is the first match against Manchester United in the Champions league. Unfortunately we did not win but Manuel kept our hopes alive until the second match. He has showed his skills and desire to win and he kept whole team together.

Almunia's close range save from carlos tevez's shot in the home leg of the champions league semi final has got to be his defining moment of the season. He reacted so fast and got down really quick to pull off an amazing save and keep us in the game. I think Almunia is one of the most under-rated keepers in the league and deserves his place in the player of the season poll

Manuel was great at Old Trafford, however I think his moment of the season was the crucial last minute save at White Hart Lane. To lose to Manchester United, even in CL Semi final is a bad thing, but losing to Spurs after a stoppage time goal would be even worse.

The glut of clean sheets after Christmas.

Eugene, Indonesia
When Almunia stopped Mirko Vucinic's penalty kick in the UEFA Champions League. It almost became a nightmare for Arsenal if Almunia hadn't denied the shot.

At West Ham, Craig Bellamy has a breakaway. Almunia rushes out of the box to block a low shot with his trailing leg. It was a world class save!

saving vucini's penalty was vital to us because we would have been out of the champions league at an very early stage
