Free Video: Fans pick their Arshavin moment

You voted Andrey Arshavin second in our Player of the Season poll so we’ve dedicated this week to him on the official club website.

For the past five days the fans have been choosing their favourite Arshavin moment from the 2008/09 campaign. Not surprisingly, the fans opted for Andrey's four-goal haul at Anfield in April when Arsenal and Liverpool shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller.

The Russian was ruthless in front of goal that night, prodding Arsenal ahead from close range and putting them back in front with a quickfire double after Liverpool had responded. Andrey hit a fine fourth on the break but Liverpool snatched a last-gasp equaliser.

I believe that Arshavin's best moment of the season was when he scored 4 goals against Liverpool. Although we drew the match, it was still a great match to watch as some of the goals that he scored were brilliant, showing that buying him was a great move by Arsène Wenger.

It has to be Arshavin's fourth goal at Anfield. This rounded off a truly breathtaking performace that no words can describe. Not many teams score four at Anfield, let alone one player (in his first season too!). The finish was fantastic (for a right footed player with his left foot). What a start to his Arsenal career!

Many people may say his four goals against Liverpool were the best, but for me the wonder goal against Blackburn was his moment of the season. The ball went in from an impossible angle and infact he made me understand that there’s no such thing as impossible. I will always tip that as his best moment.

Arshavin's goal against blackburn which announced in spectacular fashion the class and talent of the player. what made it more spectacular was finding out he had 8 stitches put in his foot during half-time.

My favourite Arshavin moment from last season would be his fourth goal against Liverpool at Anfield. I think his celebration as he ran showing No 4 on his fingers will be iconic forever.
