Former Arsenal players Ryan Smith and Tommy Black will be at new clubs next season after securing transfers to Millwall and Southend United respectively.

Smith, who made six first-team appearances for Arsenal before leaving in August 2006 , featured 20 times for Derby County last season as they earned promotion to the Premiership. But the winger was sent out on a six-game loan spell to Millwall in the Spring and now Lions boss Willie Donachie has moved to sign the 20-year-old on a two-year deal.

Black, who left the Gunners in 2000 after just two appearances, was a free agent after being released by Championship side Crystal Palace at the end of last season. He has signed a one-year deal at Roots Hall.
