The FA has confirmed that it is upholding the mass confrontation charge issued to the Club in respect of its fixture against Newcastle United on 13 August.

Arsenal had contested the FA’s decision that an incident in the second half of the fixture at St James’ Park, which followed Gervinho’s red card, constituted a failure to control the players.

Arsenal will consider whether to make a further appeal on receipt of the FA’s written grounds for its decision.
