Hundreds of Arsenal supporters braved unseasonal weather to attend the Club’s ‘Red, White & Blue’ party at The Armoury on Thursday and become the first fans to get their hands on the new 2012/14 home kit.
Featuring a blue hoop detail on the shirt sleeves, inspired by the home kit socks worn in the 1930s under legendary manager Herbert Chapman, the new strip proved a hit with supporters as they enjoyed a range of fun-packed activities throughout the day including target practice games and prizes, a speed cage and a brand-new augmented reality app featuring Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Indie band, The Rifles, whose track ‘Local Boy’ features in the target practice film that revealed the home design last month, also entertained supporters with a live set in-store to round off the day’s entertainment.
