On Tuesday night,
Francesc Fabregas wore Arsenal's No 4 shirt for the first
time in a competitive match. The 19-year-old Spaniard, playing his
100th game for the Club, marked the occasion by scoring twice
against Dinamo Zagreb.
Afterwards he explained the two players who inspired him to take that particular shirt.
"One reason I'm now wearing the No 4 shirt is because Pep Guardiola was my favourite player growing up," he said. "I wanted to be like him when I was younger but now I realise I am a different type of player to him.
"It is also a big test from me wearing this shirt because it was Patrick's shirt. He was a great player for Arsenal and one day I would like to be like him."
