Cesc Fabregas rates Standard Liege as one of the Champions League's 'surprise packages'.
Arsenal found themselves two goals down inside five minutes when they kicked off their Group H campaign in Belgium in September. A stirring comeback denied Standard on that occasion but the Belgian champions have since beaten Olympiacos and arrive at Emirates Stadium with a fighting chance of reaching the knockout stage.
Fabregas will no doubt remind his team-mates of their early capitulation in Liege before the teams leave the dressing room this evening and he admits that Standard have impressed him.
"I think we are all very surprised about how well Standard are going," said the captain.
"In the first game in three minutes they were beating us 2-0 - and it was difficult for us to come back. We were frustrated sometimes because they were marking very tight. As soon as they got the ball they went forward very quick so they have tricky players who are very good on the ball.
"As a team they are very good and it will be difficult [on Tuesday] for sure.
"In the first game I did not know them very well so maybe yes in the first half we were a bit surprised by them. But after that having seen how well they played against us we were not surprised when they beat Olympiacos because we had seen they had the quality to do it."Copyright 2013 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
