Cesc Fabregas says his pass for Emmanuel Adebayor’s equaliser was “nothing”.

After setting up both the striker’s goals against Manchester City at the weekend, Fabregas was at it again at El Madrigal on Tuesday night.

In the 66th minute, Fabregas lofted a sumptuous pass into Adebayor who acrobatically finished after controlling the ball on his chest.

After the game, the captain was keen to deflect any praise for the assist, preferring to focus on the quality of Adebayor’s finish.

“He did everything, my ball was nothing,” said Fabregas. “His first touch was amazing and I never expected him to do something like that.

“That shows you all the quality he has got."
