Lukasz Fabianski has got the memory of that 5-1 drubbing at Tottenham out of his system, according to Arsène Wenger.
The Polish keeper is in line to make his Premier League debut at Derby tonight as the Arsenal manager begins his early preparations for next season. Until now, Fabianski's only first-team experience since his summer move from Legia Warsaw has come in the Carling Cup.
That was entirely positive until Fabianski let in five goals against Tottenham in a deeply disappointing Semi-Final second leg at White Hart Lane back in January.
"It had a big effect on him," admitted Wenger. "Lukasz is an intelligent and sensitive boy and sometimes these two qualities go against you. But he's got over it. It's a learning process of every top level player goes through. For me a career is always how well you deal with the lows in the game."Copyright 2016 The Arsenal Football Club plc.
