Lukasz Fabianski is confident Arsenal will progress to the Champions League Knockout Stages with victory over Partizan Belgrade tonight.

Despite opening this season’s European campaign with three comfortable wins Arsène Wenger’s side go into the final round of Group H matches needing a result to guarantee qualification. But the goalkeeper is sure they will complete the job in front of their expectant home fans.

The Pole knows a performance similar to ones that brushed aside both Shakhtar and Braga with ease at Emirates Stadium will suffice to see off the side yet to record a point in this season’s competition.

“I think we are in a good position to be honest and we just have to put in a good performance, showing that we are strong,” Fabianski told the Official Matchday Programme. “I’m pretty sure that we can make it through.

“They gave us a tough game away from home, but in the two home games against Braga and Shakhtar we’ve shown what we are capable of and I’m hoping we can do it again.”

Fabianski is enjoying the best form of his Arsenal career since his run in the side began in the return fixture in September.

That now seems like an age ago and he admits he is eager to continue playing his part in helping the side on both domestic and European fronts in the coming months.

“At the moment I’m happy, pleased with things. I just want to stay fit and keep working hard and we’ll see what happens.

“I’m glad to be playing but I really don’t want to get overexcited – I’ll just try to keep doing as I am at the moment and hopefully we’ll keep getting the right results.”
