Extra: Boss on disagreements and Sagna

13/14: Arsenal 3-1 Stoke City - Bacary Sagna

Arsène Wenger faced the media ahead of the Premier League trip to Southampton. Here are some extra quotes from the boss. For the headlines, visit our Digest page:

on player disagreements...
You have plenty of disagreements in a group of people, always, but you try to handle it in two ways. First that he doesn't go too far because sometimes the damage can be bigger and more difficult to repair. After that you get people together and sort the differences out. But most of the time you manage to do that because it's in the heat of the moment, sometimes with young people with a lot of energy. It can happen but I must say over the 17 years here we had no major problem on that front.

on making sure it doesn't affect unity…
The difficulty is not to let it go too far when you have disagreements. But experience helps you as well to anticipate the problems and to repair things - as long as they can be repaired.

on Sagna's contract and the possibility of him leaving...
At the moment if Sagna doesn't extend his contract we'll have to [consider] that but [for now] we look at Southampton's game more than the long-term future. We try to of course secure Sagna because for me he's a very important player for the group, but he's fully committed and as long as he stays here he will be fully committed in every single game.
