AS Roma 2-2 AC Milan
Sunday, January 11.
Mirko Vucinic struck either side of an Alexandre Pato brace to secure a valuable point against third-placed AC Milan, for whom David Beckham made his debut.
Vucinic opened the scoring after 22 minutes and the home side held their advantage until three minutes after the break when Pato slammed home Kaka’s low cross. The young Brazilian striker was at it again five minutes later when he received a low pass from Ronaldinho before firing his effort past the goalkeeper from an acute angle.
But 18 minutes from time Serbian striker Vucinic rose highest in the box to power his header past Christian Abbiati in the Milan goal.
The point leaves Arsenal’s February opponents 11th in Serie A, 19 points off leaders Inter Milan.
