Porto 3-2 Uniao De Leiria
Sunday, January 10
Porto returned from their Portuguese Liga winter break with a 3-2 victory over Uniao De Leiria on Sunday. Colombian striker Falcao opened the scoring 15 minutes in before Bruno Alves doubled the Dragoes' lead in the 37th minute. Diego Gaucho pulled one back for the visitors on the stroke of half-time and seven minutes after the restart on-loan Sporting Lisbon striker Ronny equalised for Uniao. However Porto weren't content with a point and in the 62nd minute Falcao scored his second of the game to restore the hosts' lead. Porto keeper Helton Arruda also saved penalty from Ronny in the match. The Portuguese champions are currently third in the table with 32 points, four behind leaders Sporting Braga.
